So today there was this math competition at LaSalle Middle School. You take a test and the top 3 people get to go. I was one of those people. My two friends and I all are really smart (we go to CCL aka smart kid school and one of them takes 9Th grade math.) and we expect to do well. Of course all of the Asian kids get like top scores and then the friend that takes 9Th grade math gets 10Th in one test and 8Th in the other. I thought that I did very well on one of the tests and at least thought I would get a ribbon. But no, me and my other friend got nothing. Second year I have got nothing and second year that my friend has gotten an award. I mean good for her, but I thought I did pretty good. i answered all of the questions with ease, feeling confident, and she didn't even finish all the questions on either one!! Oh well, It was an honor even to get there.
There was an Asian kid that got in too from our school, and he got 1st and
2ND for the tests, so hes going to state. I'm not surprised though, he takes 9Th grade math also and gets better grades than the other person. Good for him though, being a genius and all!!
